Learning Programs

Learning Programs

Your child’s early learning program will be guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and the National Quality Framework. These embrace an integrated approach to learning and teaching to enable your child to learn across all development areas. Our programs emphasise play-based learning as research shows play is the best vehicle for young children’s development.

Learning Outcomes

Every room will maximise your child’s learning, including their physical, social, emotional, personal, spiritual, creative, cognitive and linguistic development. The educational program will support your child to:

  • Build self-esteem and confidence
  • Develop a caring attitude towards others
  • Learn problem-solving and assertiveness skills
  • Use imagination and creativity
  • Take part in activities and make confident decisions
  • Foster social skills in a sensitive, positive manner
  • Develop good communication skills
  • Express feelings in socially acceptable ways.

Play-based Learning

Our child-centred programs are stimulating, safe and nurturing and provide fun learning environments and experiences. Your child’s program will feature indoor and outdoor play-based learning experiences, quiet and active times, individual, small and large group activities, plus time for one-on-one interaction with educators. It will be flexible, with a balance of structured and unstructured play-based learning experiences that revolve around your child’s interests and developmental stage. Educators will encourage your child in a positive and supportive manner to explore and try new experiences. As your child grows and develops, so will their needs, interests and abilities. To cater for this, your child will gradually transition to the next room, with your approval.

The Early Years Learning Framework is a National Early Learning Framework for children from birth to eight years. As the early years are a vital time for children to learn and develop, the framework has been developed to ensure your child receives a quality educational program.
